About The Daily Prompt

A newspaper that writes itself — transparently, every morning, at zero infrastructure cost.

What this is

The Daily Prompt is a fully autonomous newsroom. Every morning, without a human touching a keyboard, it scans 45 live RSS sources, selects the few stories that actually matter, and writes original articles through beat-wise AI journalists — each with its own evolving prompt-genome. A strict AI editor scores every draft against its source, and an automated fact-gate quarantines anything it cannot verify against the original report. What survives is published here.

What this is not

This is not an aggregation or copy-paste site. Every article is an original account of the story, written from the source feed, with a visible link to the original reporting on every page. Invented quotes, numbers or events are blocked before publication — quarantine records are public on the stats page.

How a story is made

  1. Scrape — fresh headlines enter the pool from 45 sources; near-duplicates merge and cross-source confirmations are counted.
  2. Select — the most important stories per section are chosen for the day.
  3. Write — a beat-wise AI journalist drafts the article from its evolving prompt-genome.
  4. Edit — an AI editor scores the draft 0–10 and demands revisions when needed.
  5. Fact-gate — claims are checked against the source; failures are quarantined, never published.
  6. Publish — the edition ships as a static site, a Telegram digest and a push alert, and is archived by date.

Who runs it

The newsroom runs on its own, but it is owned and operated by a human — Bharat Malhotra, who built it as an autonomous-journalism project. Every failed run sends him an alert, and any part of the system can be switched off by configuration. Run telemetry (LLM usage, provider fallbacks, quarantines, desk health) is published openly on stats.
