CJP Leaders Detained as Security Tightens in Delhi
Delhi Police detained Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka inside their aircraft at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The trio was intercepted upon arrival from Mumbai ahead of a planned "Jantar Mantar 2.0" protest, which authorities explicitly prohibited.
Central Delhi remains under heavy security, with police deploying thousands of personnel and establishing checkpoints across a five-kilometer radius. Authorities enforced movement restrictions and dispersed gatherings under Section 163, causing significant traffic congestion. Despite the crackdown, CJP leadership stated they arrived specifically to face arrest, challenging the prohibition of their demonstration.
