Delhi Police Detain Cockroach Janta Party Leaders on Aircraft
Delhi Police detained Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke and co-conveners Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka inside their aircraft upon arrival at Delhi airport from Mumbai. The preventative detention occurred ahead of a planned march to Jantar Mantar, which authorities had prohibited.
Security forces enforced strict movement restrictions across central Delhi, including barricades and the deployment of personnel across 20 sectors. Police utilized Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita to disperse gatherings and restrict public transit, citing concerns over potential vandalism and unauthorized mass mobilizations near key government areas.
