Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar Leaves for New Delhi Ahead of GST Council Meeting
Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar traveled to New Delhi on Tuesday ahead of the 57th GST Council meeting scheduled for October 8. Sources indicate the visit could offer an opportunity to meet senior Congress leaders to discuss pending matters, including State Cabinet vacancies, Legislative Council appointments, and board nominations.
However, discussions remain uncertain as senior Congress leaders, such as Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, are occupied with protests against the ECI. During a previous visit last week for a Congress Working Committee meeting, Mr. Shivakumar met Union Ministers to address drought situations, development projects, irrigation schemes, and fund releases for Karnataka.
