Delhi Capitals Overhaul Coaching Staff With Chaminda Vaas Hire
Delhi Capitals have appointed former Sri Lankan seamer Chaminda Vaas as their new fast bowling coach for the 2027 IPL season. His arrival marks his first franchise coaching role, replacing Munaf Patel as part of a major backroom reorganization.
Following a sixth-place finish in 2026, the franchise has appointed Sourav Ganguly as head coach, Yuvraj Singh as assistant and batting coach, and Amit Mishra as spin bowling coach. The team aims to utilize Vaas's international expertise, gained through coaching roles with Sri Lanka, Ireland, and New Zealand, to strengthen their bowling unit.
