North Korea Releases Photos of Kim Jong Un Amid Death Rumors

North Korean state media released photographs showing leader Kim Jong Un inspecting footwear and women's clothing at a garment exhibition. The images followed unverified social media claims that Kim had suffered a fatal brain haemorrhage and that China had deployed 9,000 troops to Pyongyang.

While the Korean Central News Agency reported the visit occurred on Monday, the photos remain unauthenticated. The images show Kim interacting with officials and examining products, but they do not independently confirm the timing of the event or provide medical information regarding his health status.

Editor's note: Accurate summary of the event and the context of the rumors; it correctly qualifies the photos as unauthenticated and the social media claims as unverified.
