Three Vizag kayakers selected for inter-university championships

Three athletes from the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh Water Sports Academy have been selected for the All India Inter-University Canoeing and Kayaking Championships in Chandigarh. The team consists of Andhra University students Bora Akhil Vignesh, Velamala Ravindra, and Allada Harshith.

District Sports Development Officer June Gallyot noted this is the first time local athletes have qualified for the national inter-university event in water sports. District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore met with the athletes on Friday to offer his congratulations and encourage them to bring recognition to Visakhapatnam and Andhra Pradesh.
