Jan Suraaj Party Official Found Dead After Disappearing from Train

Devpalik Gupta, the 31-year-old digital communications manager for Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party, has been found dead near railway tracks in Ranchi. Gupta went missing on Monday afternoon while traveling on the Ranchi-Patna Janshatabdi Express.

Police recovered his body in bushes near Jarwadih after his colleagues reported him missing. Preliminary investigations suggest Gupta may have fallen from the moving train and suffered a head injury, though the circumstances remain under investigation. The party has called for an impartial probe into the death of the aide, who had worked with Kishor since 2022.
