Mirchowk Police Inspector and Home Guard Arrested in Bribery Case

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Mirchowk Inspector M. Kondal Rao and Home Guard Abid Ali on Tuesday for allegedly demanding a ₹6 lakh bribe. Officials caught the pair after they accepted a ₹3 lakh payment intended to close a case against the complainant's father.

The ACB recovered the tainted currency from the home guard, who acted as an intermediary. Both police personnel were produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nampally for judicial remand. The agency continues to investigate the case while maintaining the complainant's anonymity.
