Florida Teachers Install Bench and Library for Student at Bus Stop

Florida teachers Maren and David Douglass installed a bench at the end of their driveway after noticing a middle school student waiting for the bus while sitting on the dirt. The student responded with joy, later leaving a note of thanks for the relief from dirt and bugs, and subsequently leaving flowers for the couple.

Beyond the bench, the couple added a Mini Free Library to the bus stop, which has since been utilized by other neighborhood children. The heartwarming interactions were captured by the couple’s doorbell camera and have reached millions of viewers on TikTok.
