Rajasthan Police Rescue Six Minors from Forced Sex Work

Rajasthan police rescued six minor girls, aged 12 to 17, from the Banchhada community in Jhalawar district on November 3. Five suspects, primarily relatives of the victims, were arrested following the operation. Medical examinations confirmed sexual exploitation of five girls, and two tested positive for sexually transmitted diseases.

Authorities launched the raid after taking notice of an August report by The Hindu regarding the exploitation of children in the sex trade. An SIT led by Additional SP Ayush Shrotriya utilized digital evidence and spy cameras to prepare for the operation, which involved over 100 personnel in a coordinated effort to dismantle the illicit activity.
