Rajat Patidar Named Madhya Pradesh Captain for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Rajat Patidar will captain Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, beginning November 14 in New Chandigarh. The squad, coached by Chandrakant Pandit, features Avesh Khan leading the bowling attack, though fast bowler Kuldeep Sen is sidelined with an injury.

Patidar and Arshad Khan may exit the tournament early to join the India A squad for the Men's Rising Stars Asia Cup in Doha. Should Patidar depart after the November 16 match against Assam, team management will appoint a stand-in captain for the remaining league fixtures, which conclude against Puducherry on November 26.
